PROJECT SCOPE
Hospice of Michigan hosted the world premiere of the Warner Bros. IMAX film "The Polar Express" in conjunction with their annual fund raising event.
HIGHLIGHTS
Four theatrical backdrops were produced to recreate scenes from the book and film "The Polar Express" . These backdrops ranged from 15' x 30' to 50' x 90' and were painted by seniors at Kendall College of Art and Design.
Transformit stars and light balls of various sizes gave the illusion of a lowered ceiling in a traditional flat show space.
Five Transformit sails formed an ice flow for the main stage back drop which was lit with 42 intelligent moving lights for effects.
(2) 15' x 20' rear projection screens nestled in the ice flow for image magnification for the 1400 attendees
